History
Initial Creation
The Holy Celtic Empire was created on the 17th of August and was originally called "The United Kingdom". The creation of the nation was sponsored by the SheepishTick in protest to France's regional power. Both the capital and nation were created on the same day.
French intervention
Shortly after it's establishment, France demanded the nation be named under a pseudonym that implied French control. A deal was reached to rename the nation to the neutral name "Cheshire" for a undisclosed sum. However after the addition of Queensland, Owned by Phinkleforb, the name "Holy Celtic Empire" was adopted.
Although created with an intention to prevent further French influence on the island, The Holy Celtic Empire is allies with France.
French merger
France merged into the HCE on the 28th of September 2025 forming the Franco-Celtic Union.
Elections
31st August
The first election saw PhinkleForb run uncontested and LizTruss replaced.
Land Disputes

Welsh division
Tritonau was created following a negotiation between LizTruss and Stormraft which ultimately divided northern Wales vertically along the mountains. Despite joining the nation, a wall was agreed to be built along the parallel which both sides adhere to. This is a resolved dispute
Holy Crewe-Paris Dispute
Holy Crewe Claimed its eastern road all the way to Paris. This was disputed and ultimately retracted to the half way mark.
